For over two decades, Bishop Kevin L. Betton Sr. and Lady Lorraine Betton have faithfully and passionately served as the leaders of Cathedral of Praise Church Ministries in Hinesville, Georgia
In 1998, after 20 years of military service, Bishop Betton retired from the U.S. Army, and he and Lady Lorraine began establishing their roots in Hinesville. Since retirement, they have dedicated their lives to shepherding God’s people with integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the Word of God.
Married since July 1979, Bishop and Lady Betton exemplify not only spiritual leadership but also the strength and unity of covenant partnership.
Together, they are the proud parents of three children: Kevin Jr., Jermaine, and Tiffany
Their shared vision is rooted in the belief that unity produces greater results, which is why their ministry theme boldly declares:
“We Can Do It Better Together.”
In July of 1998, God birthed a unique and dynamic ministry into existence in Hinesville named Temple of Praise. God entrusted the responsibility of shepherding His people to Elder Kevin L. Betton Sr., the pastor-teacher and founder. The first worship service of Temple of Praise was held on the second Sunday in July 1998 at 146 Ralph Quarterman Drive. By October 2001, the ministry purchased a ministry complex located at 406 C South Main Street after outgrowing its previous building. In 2004, after prayer and divine direction, the ministry transitioned to its current name: Cathedral of Praise Church Ministries Today the ministry stands as a beacon of hope, healing, empowerment, and community transformation.
